A glitch in the software of over 900,000 GM cars has sparked a recall. Those who own any Cadillac Ct6, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, or GMC Sierra 1500 should take their car to their dealerships as soon as possible. According to the automaker, this error is “rare,” however it could have serious consequences. This error has the potential to stop the driver from getting notifications and affects the vehicle’s braking system. This is an extremely dangerous error, and those with affected cars should not take this lightly.

Another recall issued by GM states there is also a risk of vehicles catching on fire. So far, there has only been one reported occurrence of a vehicle catching on fire, and luckily there were no injuries. If you’re not sure if your vehicle is affected, you can look up the status of your model’s recalls here.
