This past Sunday, a bus driver was arrested after she locked a bus passenger in the luggage compartment on a moving bus. Police in Connecticut received a call from a woman claiming she had been locked in the luggage compartment of the bus she was riding and was trapped. According to the victim, a bus driver (who was not the one driving at the time) locked her into the compartment after the victim was trying to retrieve some items from her bag.

Police Response

The authorities were able to trace the 911 call and stopped the bus to let out the trapped passenger. The women refused medical attention. The bus driver is being held on a $2,000 bail and being charged with reckless endangerment, breach of peace, and unlawful restraint.
